Cybernetic Amputee Revenge Act 1 Script

Page 1
Panel 1
Close up of a support group sign with letters pressed into a board. Metahuman Victim Support Group.

Panel 2
A woman missing her right arm and left leg, (a noticeable prostetic leg) struggling as she enters the room on a crutch. She's clearly having a hard time as she walks in. Otherwise she's an attractive young woman.

Panel 3
She plops herself into a chair, a few others around her, an older man with an eyepatch, a younger guy with burns and bandages over most of the upper part of his body on the other side.

Panel 4
Someone hands her a styrofoam cup with coffee and she smiles up at them.

Panel 5
Close up of her. She's looking right out at us.

N: My name is Carol Young, and I hate superhumans.

***

Page 2
Panel 1
Carol, in a business skirt and her body fully intact, as she stands just off the curb in the city, her arm out to hail a cab.

Panel 2
Worm's eye view from behind her as we see an energy blast shoot forth towards us, eradicating her extended arm into ashes in a heartbeat. We can just make out the source of the blast, two figures in the sky in bright costumes.

Panel 3
Aerial view of a superhero and supervillain as they grapple each other plummeting towards the pavement, Carol is thrashing about in pain below as passerbys run and scream.

Panel 4
They hit the ground and smash through the ground, rubble thrown all around, Carol is off balance and screaming as her missing limb is in focus for us. Cars and other pedestrians are on fire and running off.

Panel 5
Carol falls into the pit created by the hero/villain, screaming and helpless in a world of utter turmoil.

Panel 6
Carol lies below, a chunk of pavement crushing her opposite leg, blood flowing with burst water pipes and fire all about. Straight down shot, she is utterly helpless and in Hell on Earth.

***

Page 3
Split panel page. With two inset panels where her missing limbs would be.
Panel 1
Carol's upper half of her body. She's lying in bed, in a state of shock, staring straight up at us, tears streaming from her eyes. She's wearing a slinky black tank top. Slightly POV from the arm stump up close. We see what it looks like straight on with Carol raising her head in the background looking down at it as best she can. It's a severe burn that cauterized the wound almost instantly. (Ok, I know I did straight on and close up, but now I'm thinking somewhere inbetween. She's looking up at us but we get the detail of the wound.)

N: [Dialogue about missing limbs and life after]

Panel 2
Smaller panel where her arm would be. Her missing arm caresses a guy's face as they gaze into each other's eyes.

Panel 3
Carol's lower half. She's wearing skimpy underwear and it'd be sexy if not for the other cut off panel on the lower left showing her absence of her left leg. The stump there is really ugly and horrific. The cut off panels should remove us from the sexy image of a girl lying in bed in a tank top and panties. We see a surgical removal scar of her leg. It's horrific in a totally different way.

Panel 4
Longer panel where he leg should be, two sets of legs entwined around each other in bed.

***

Page 4
Panel 1
Small panel of an empty chair. Sideshot.

Panel 2
Continuation of panel 1, she's sitting at other end of the dining room table facing the empty chair, we see her metal leg, and her stump arm is facing us. She quietly eats, looking sad, hair draped over her ear, partially in her face.

Panel 3
She sits on the couch, her leg resting on the foot cushion. Over her shoulder we see the TV as a news broadcast talks about the Superhero & Supervillain.

Panel 4
Smaller panel of her sitting down at the computer, bathed in the glow of a computer monitor, alone in the dark. We see the shadows make her look dark and demented, sad, desperate. She is more alone than we will ever know. More of a side shot/three quarter shot.

***

Page 5
Panel 1
Left side of the page, a sweaty guy at his computer typing away, maybe masturbating, sitting in a high tech room. Behind him is various cybernetic equipment, but sort of hinted at.

Panel 2
Right side, she at her computer, typing away, maybe taking pics or a webcam of her in sexy lingerie. Her stump is prominent as she does her best disturbing amputee sexy.

(If you think maybe panel 2 could be bigger, and panel 1 smaller. I'm just trying to think what makes the most sense as being digitally connected. Maybe a few panels of him around her centered bigger panel, of him getting all sexy with her, typing mad, masturbating, etc. Just to give a sense of goofball yet perv personality to him, and her panel is one sexy yet off putting shot of amputee porn)

***

Page 6
Panel 1
A page-wide panel. Our first so far. Side shot, She's on the left, wearing a long skirt so we can just see her metal leg beneath the table. She's out at a restaurant with a man. He's a bit sweaty and disheveled, but he seems like a nice guy. The restaurant, if we see more of it, should be dark and mostly empty.

Panel 2
They're walking down the street. He's on her left, holding her hand. People are looking back over their shoulders at them as they pass by. She seems to notice, but he's oblivious.

Panel 3
They start to get touchy feely as they open the door to his apt. It's a really swanky place from the outside. He seems a bit creepy as he gropes her stumps.

Panel 4
Inside is a mess and they begin to undress, we get a hint of her amputations. Maybe she's in the foreground, her dress coming down off her shoulder, close up on the stump as it's revealed. The guy is in the background drooling and staring as he undresses.

Panel 5
Close up of the guy's creepy perverted face as he disconnects her metallic leg. She looks down at him from behind kind of grossed out. Reversed foreground/background shot from panel 4.

***

Page 7
Panel 1
In his lab, she sits on a table, he examines her. A weirdly clinical opposite shot from page 6, panel 5. She's looking down at him as he inspects the damage to her arm with some sort of magnifying lens, goggles, thing. It makes him seem more like he wants to help.

Panel 2
He brings out a cyborg arm and leg. All proud and feeling good about himself. They should seem pretty outlandishly comicbook real, almost funny, but def very lifeless, heavy hunks of metal.

Panel 3
Performs surgery on her. Invasive, disgusting, wires, sparks, flesh, bone, sexual metaphor.

Panel 4
She wakes up disoriented, flexing her new limbs. Maybe her cyborg hand just coming into the panel as she sits up. The guy is standing beside her.

Panel 5
She looks up at him, Her POV, he's smiling and has a hint of sexual fetishism to him. A bit like a mad scientist who wants to do it with his experiment. Her cyborg arm is shown a bit more as it reaches into the panel towards him.

***

Page 8
Panel 1
Inset panel in the top of panel 2. She crushes the guy's skull off-panel, a sickening crunch and spray of blood and bone.

Panel 2
Huge full page, one huge shot of her, blood splattered along her tightened cybernetic fist. She looks crazed with dementia.

BlitzLeague! First 3 Contests

Test 1: Dodge!Ballz!
V shaped setup in a warehouse with torn down ice hockey plexiglass shields lining two High School bleachers on either side of a row of three bowling alley ball returns angled slightly upwards and minus the curved area for them to rest on. Maybe there's a heavy duty motor sitting under them that they can kick on.

The contestants are all lined up against the far wall. So the idea is the same as dodgeball, except also like king of the mountain. You need to run past the area that the balls are coming from, but don't get knocked unconcious! On the side are also small perches where one gunner sits on each side with a softball machine on a platform. Maybe small tennis ball ones in front of the benches that the front row audience members get to fire. (Incentive to get there early).

Off to the other side behind the bleachers, is a small wooden bar, def made from left over lumber found around. Hipsters linger and sip Colt 45 Minis and stand besides their fixed gear bikes.

(Figure he can either turn into the tennis ball material, then the softball, then finally a bowling ball when another contestant turns to mist and it slams him in the stomach, but he catches it.)

Test 2:
Recess @ PS-666
An obstacle course under neath a train highrise. Starts on the street, but slalom around concrete posts, leap over flaming police barricades, dive through a metal jungle gym as you are shot with fire hydrants, finally diving through a pane of glass.

(This is where I figure things can get fierce between opponents. HipsterWolvie can try and take him out, lots of badass powers shown here, and how he's gonna have to try this time.)

Test 3: TazerTag!
A battered boxing ring barely held together. The bleachers again set up on either side. Five contestants, the winner of last starts with a tazer, the other is dangled in the center of the ring, lowered in as four others are in the four corners, then the fifth runs in with his attack. Basically boxing/wrestling with tasers. Last Man Standing!

(A real duel with things getting down and dirty. Mac wins by becoming copper and conducting electricity through him into others.)

***

Test 1 (Story Breakdowns)
Mac lined up, flashback to Kris, tennis balls, power use, flashback to origin (hazy), the others getting hit with tennis balls, his power showing off, flashback friends powers, friends in stands, stoner guy staring up at softball machine as other two oblivious, softballs firing, dodging, touches ball, bounces off, walks through unharmed, then sees Ice Queen, distracted, bowling ball launched at him, hits others, then mist, hit and catches bowling ball, turns into that, and struts through to the end, keeping an eye on Ice Queen filming.

<Misc characters: knitting armored DIY Park Slope girl, >

1 page come down, 1 page setup

Test 2
More concious decision about power changes. Paperclip, rubber band, rock. Metal as he runs through the flames, but slows him down, rubber band to hurl through the jungle gyms, and rock to bust through the water/glass. Hipster Wolvie, Ninja Cosplay, TrackGangstar.

No flashbacks, intense moments of thrown punches, kicking, shoving, and dirty looks, as they run and jump.

Test 3
Total one on one, crowd cheering, the true contest of powers and brains. More like a boxing match, or tag team wrestling. Bright lights and roar of the crowd. He wins it and that's that. No big hoopla after, everyone just goes home.
